We understand that adapting new health habits is difficult, especially when it comes to resistance training.
That’s where we come in. Our exercise progressions are well-planned to help you understand and perform resistance training, making it sustainable for a lifetime.
Current guidelines
For “substantial health benefits,” the Physical Activity Guidelines for adults (ages 18-64) recommend:
Aerobic physical activity: 150-300 min/week of moderate-intensity or 75-150 min/week of vigorous-intensity
Muscle-strengthening activities: moderate or greater intensity that involve all major muscle groups on 2 or more days a week
Coach Ryan - Personal Trainer
Entering his 11th year of personal training, Ryan brings a keen ability to coach people of all skill levels to become stronger versions of themselves. Ryan’s passion is focused around strength training after seeing the positive effects it has had on the lives of his athletes, as well as his own. A former tile setter, Ryan chose to make the transition into fitness as a means to better his own movement and lifestyle. After suffering several lower back injuries, he decided it was time to leave the trades and find a way to move and live without pain. Through proper movement and training, he is now able to compete in Powerlifting competitions and maintain an active, healthy, and most importantly, pain-free lifestyle.
Testimonials
“I've had many personal trainers over the years and I can confidently say that Ryan is the best trainer I've ever had. Not only is he a pleasure to work with, very professional and extremely knowledgeable, he always makes sure that we work towards measurable results. Ryan always pushes me to do better and has helped me become stronger than I ever imagined. Would strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a personal trainer.”
Jenny, 30, Consultant
“I trained with Ryan for about 3 years in preparation for knee replacement surgery as well as overall strength training. He is kind, patient, knowledgeable, and works with you to accommodate your needs and level of ability. We worked together through the height of Covid with him texting me my workouts and always following up to make sure I was on task working out at home. He truly cares about all of his clients as though they were family. After my surgery, I sent a video to Ryan from my hospital room thanking him for making me stronger. Without his help, my PT and recovery would have been more difficult. If you are looking for a personal trainer, look no further. You can become RT Strong!”
Janet, 66, RETIRED
“Ryan is the best personal trainer I've ever worked with. I was brand new to weightlifting and Ryan did a fantastic job teaching me the proper form for all the exercises, customizing workouts to fit my needs, and making every session fun and challenging. I was amazed at how quickly I gained strength and muscle, and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for an incredibly nice, experienced, and dedicated trainer!”
ROBERT, 41, PHYSICIAN
“When I began working out with Ryan my main goal was to stay in shape and gain muscle. I worked out with him for almost four years and have seen a more than expected transformation. He assisted me in not only my work out routines but also with my eating habits and nutrition tips that gave me the fitness results that I was looking for. Throughout our training time he kept the sessions fresh and every few months changed my programs in order to keep them interesting without compromising my goals and always delivering results. We not only worked out but also incorporated cardio, abdominal and specific training for either participating in Spartan races or Strength Training competitions. One of the most valuable traits of Ryan’s was his ability to adopt to individual circumstances. If I were not in the mood to work out he found the trigger points to push me and make the work out session fun and result driven. If I was injured, he worked around the injury making sure he rehabilitated without compromising my goals. Most of all his program was unique to my needs, abilities and personality.”
Harris, 53, Marketing and PR Executive
“I started training with Ryan having no experience lifting weights. Just half a year later, I was moving hundreds of pounds on the barbell and on my way to mastering the fundamental lifts. My strength improved tremendously as did my physique. I can't recommend Ryan highly enough.”
